Working together
What working together actually looks like
Before you spend a cent, here is the whole picture in plain language. Read it now, at your own pace. There is a full Coaching Agreement underneath this, and we go through and sign it together at the start of session one.
What coaching is, and what it is not
Coaching is a thinking partnership. You bring what is on your mind, I bring better questions and the odd shortcut, and we look at it together from angles that are hard to reach on your own. You stay the expert on you. I am Player 2, not the boss and not a walkthrough that plays it for you.
It is not therapy, crisis care, or medical advice, and I am a coach (ICF Associate Certified Coach), not a therapist or clinician. If something sits outside coaching, I will say so and help you find a therapist or the right professional. That is me doing my job properly, not turning you away.
What stays between us
What you share when you book, and everything in a session, stays between us. The full detail of how your information is handled is in the privacy policy.
There are a few narrow limits, the same ones any coach works within: if a court legally requires it, or if there is a real risk of serious harm to you or someone else, I may have to share what is needed. Short of that, your confidence is kept.
Fees, and the currencies I work in
You can book a single The Co-op Session or The Co-op Campaign, six sessions over weeks. Current prices, in your local currency, are on the Work with me page, so they are always the live figure. International cards are charged the rand equivalent at checkout, with the amount shown before you pay.
A small number of sliding-scale spots are open to South African clients. Mention it on a discovery call if cost is a barrier.
Changing or cancelling a session
You can move or cancel a session at no cost, as long as you tell me at least 24 hours before we are due to meet. Inside 24 hours the fee is not refunded, because I have already held that time for you. You get one free reschedule of that session instead. Either way, you never have to explain why.
The same rule, written out in full, is in the cancellation and refund terms.
Between sessions
Our work happens in the sessions themselves. You are welcome to email me a quick logistics question any time, and I will get back to you when I can. Coaching between sessions is what the next session is for, so there is nothing you need to keep up with in the meantime.
You can stop any time
You can end our work whenever you like, for any reason, with no explanation owed. The whole point is that you need me less over time, not more. If coaching stops being useful, I would rather help you find what fits than keep you in the room.
If you decide to stop partway through a Co-op Campaign, the sessions you have not used are still yours. Email me before the final session of the package and I refund the unused sessions pro-rata, so you only pay for the sessions you have had. If you would rather hold them as credit and come back to them later, that is your call.
If you change your mind before we start
If you read the Coaching Agreement and decide coaching is not the fit, tell me before our first session begins and I will refund you in full. I process refunds within 5 business days. Your bank may take another 5 to 10 business days to show it on your side.
Because the agreement is signed at the start of session one rather than before you pay, this is your safety net. No awkward conversation, no hoops.
We read and sign it together
This page is the friendly summary. The full Coaching Agreement is the formal version of everything above. We read through it and sign it together in the first few minutes of session one. No rush, no surprises, and nothing for you to print or sign alone.
